Mixing metal finishes is very effective with some logo designs.
In this case the client wanted a high end sign and was not concerned about
maintaining there company colours. I suggested aluminum using two different finishes,
polished and brushed, for several reasons. First, aluminum provides the
rich, modern appearance my client was after. Polished aluminum has plenty of bling!
Second, the sign is fairly small (24 dia). I wanted to achieve
some dimension on the circle boarder and was concerned acrylic may
break during production. The size also helped with material costs.
Third, the sign could be mechanically fastened together
without the use of adhesives.
This reception sign is a perfect example of the logo itself
determining the best material.
The globe is a simply vinyl overlay.
