We have been designing, printing and installing signs in Toronto for more than 50 years
Vinyl Printing is a process used to create many different types of signs producing high quality, multi-coloured images that are durable, weather resistant and cost effective for short runs. The most commonly own vinyl prints are used in applications such as car wraps and banners but vinyl printing is used for much more then that in the sign industry. Vinyl can be applied to many different surfaces and boards. The versatility of vinyl has allowed us to create a wide product line, like wall murals, posters, storefront signs, window graphics and sidewalk signs to name a few. As a custom sign shop vinyl printing is an excellent media to help meet the needs of our clients. There is not much vinyl cannot do.
The quality of a vinyl print far surpasses many other modern printing processes. The colours are more vibrant and true. Our eco-solvent inks are designed to be compatible with vinyl and our Mutoh printer is profiled to print vinyl.
We do not attempt the difficult task of producing quality prints on different materials using one printer. We focus on printing vinyl and applying it to different materials, creating many different products!
The nature of our inks allows us to print in fine detail. We don’t have the problem of reverse type filling in or fine type disappearing. Not only is the print quality more visually appealing but the durability of the print also has a longer lifespan. Some vinyl types are rated for a 10-year exterior life. Clear laminate overlays are used to protect the image from airborne dust and provide UV protection. Unlike direct to substrate printing that has an exterior life expectancy of 3 months. Our print lasts!
Gone are the days of simple block letters and basic design. Vinyl printing is now a four-colour CMYK process. That means full colour pictures, gradients and multiple spot colours are possible without affecting costs. In other words, you can develop a design to your heart’s content!
Whether you are printing one or hundreds, using one or 15 colours, with or without tones, the design is limited only by your imagination. If you have colour matching concerns, keep in mind this is a CMYK process. Speak to us about your needs, and we will take the extra care needed to meet our Pantone colour matching requirements.
Not only can vinyl be printed with your business brand or custom design, but it can also be applied to many different surfaces. We can apply your image to your window, floor, wall or car, as well mount it to a host of substrates we stock. With vinyl printing’s flexibility and customization options, we can produce anything from a tradeshow display, table top sign or sidewalk sign.
Vinyl can be used in and outdoors: applied to glass, plastic, metal, sealed concrete, wood products and more. If you have an unusual application, a simple adhesion test is all that is required to determine if vinyl is a practical media for your project.
There are many vinyl types designed for different applications. Some vinyl stretches significantly, and is used for such applications as wrapping cars or products with different adhesives to allow for repositioning, whether for temporary or permanent projects.
We can also create unique special effects using clear, transparent, reflective or metallic overlays and/or laminate. A popular technique is to use one-way see-through vinyl for glass applications, allowing people to see out but preventing passersby from seeing into an establishment.
The versatility of vinyl is perfect for a variety of business and commercial applications, from retailers to restaurants, office buildings, and tradeshows. It’s also great for seasonal events, conferences, car/truck and boat graphics, and of course all types of signage.
The maximum our printer can print in one pass is 52” x roll length. In other words, the maximum size is virtually unlimited considering panels can be tiled and the roll length is 150 feet. Most mounting substrates are limited to 4’ x 8’ sheet size but if you are applying the vinyl directly to windows or walls, in most cases there isn’t a need for a larger print capacity. Since the print also produces fine detail we use vinyl prints for signs as small as 6” x 6” and in some cases even smaller.
